As Social Networking is moving from its primordial beginnings to something more sophisticated the need for getting people physically together is growing, especially on a regional basis.  Los Angeles and its environs has become a major computing powerhouse and social networking has influenced much of the latest in web applications. Schmoozd was brought about to facilitate the coming together of people and in the sharing of ideas between the city’s brightest entrepreneurs, technocrats, bloggers, designers, and investors.

Founded by local entrepreneurs, Schmoozd is not your typical networking event. There are no presentations or panels to be found. The purpose, therefore, is to provide a venue where people can mix in a casual manner, yet to allow for the exchange of ideas. Yes to see and be seen!  These events will be on a periodic basis and will be announced on this website.

John Diep, Producer

John has worked in the software industry for over 10 years and has been leading teams in commercial and in-house web applications. His worked has spanned from project management to software management, for development and quality assurance teams. Currently, he is a Manager at Hitachi Consulting, his role is to understand the unique business needs, and to develop and implement practical business strategies and technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies. @johndiep
